Try these healthy snack recipes.

Homemade Granola Bars

Mix 4 cups oats, 1 cup honey, and 1 cup natural peanut butter in a blender. Stir in ½ cup chocolate chips and ½ cup raisins. Place mixture in a pan and chill in the refrigerator. Cut bars to desired size and place in baggie or foil. Nutrition: Per one bar (if recipe made into sixteen bars): 278 calories, 41 gms carb, 3.5 gms fiber, 7. 7 gms protein, 11 gms fat, 2.8 gms saturated fat, no cholesterol and 83 mg sodium.




The National Peanut Board ( www.nationalpeanutboard.org ) has snack recipes, including one for a Peanutty Energy Bar. The carb-protein content makes this a great recovery snack.
Nutrition: Per one bar (recipe makes sixteen bars): 225 calories, 30 gms carb, 6 gms protein and 9 gms fat.
