Sports Nutrition Snack Mix Recipe

This is a high energy snack mix recipe to use in your sports nutrition plan. Use what you have if you do not have the exact ingredients. It is a great way to use up the last of a box of cereal. Store the finished product in a sealed bag or container.

In a medium bowl, combine these ingredients:

1 cup dried cranberries or any dried fruit
1 cup 100% wheat squares cereal
1 cup 100% whole grain cereal biscuits
1 cup oat cereal rings
1 cup roasted soy nuts
1 cup pumpkin seeds

Nutrition (1/2 cup serving): 152 calories, 7 gms protein, 21 gms carbohydrate, 4.4 gms fiber, 9 gms sugar, 5.6 gms total fat, 0 saturated fat, 0 cholesterol, 45 mg sodium (or more if salted nuts and seeds are used).
